As advertised, Hulk Hogan made his return to Monday Night RAW. Hogan showed up to pay homage to the late “Mean” Gene Okerlund. He paid tribute to the legendary broadcaster by coming down to the ring and saying a few things about his friend.

“Well, let me tell you something, brother,” opened Hogan before letting a more serious tone overcome his voice. “‘Mean’ Gene loved entertaining more than anything he did.” Hogan then introduced a beautiful tribute video that WWE put together.
“He was one of a kind,” continued Hogan. “‘Mean’ Gene, I love you my brother.” He then talked about how Okerlund may not be with them physically, but he’ll always be in the WWE Universe’s heart. Finally, he cut one final promo about Okerlund being in Heaven. “I know you’re up there putting together the best tag match ever of “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Ultimate Warrior versus Roddy Piper and Mr. Perfect. I also know that Andre the Giant is the special referee, and I know you’re breaking up a fight between Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan.”
