Power Ranger Jason David Frank To Have A Pro Wrestling Match In 2019 (Video)

It was revealed that Jason David Frank, also known as Tommy Oliver in the 1990s TV gem Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, would be having his debut match in a pro wrestling ring sometime in 2019 for the Laredo Wrestling Alliance in Laredo, TX. Frank got into a confrontation with one of the promotion’s stars in Brysin Scott at their last show of 2018. You can see the clip below (h/t to PWInsider):

An accidental collision escalates into a violent alteration between Mr. Studtacular Brysin Scott and L.W.A. Special Guest Jason David Frank at LWA’s “Let’s Say Goodbye” event.

David Frank, who credits CM Punk and Ronda Rousey for his squared-circle crossover, was the Green Ranger and later the White Ranger in the classic 1990s action series and quickly became a favorite among the fan base. David Frank has been a staple throughout the comic con scene and has an extensive background in MMA.  He spoke with the Laredo Morning Times after the event:

“I’ve always been interested in stepping into a wrestling ring,” David Frank told LMT. “I don’t do this stuff. I do MMA. Just to learn this stuff is cool. I went to WWE, but just to see this passion in these fighters, everyone is hungry and everyone wants to be the best they can. I like that.”

“I love going to South Texas Comic Con,” David Frank said. “I’ve wanted to do a Power Morphicon down here. We are doing one in Texas, and I have been wanting to do one in Laredo. So, when (LWA) called me, they soon asked what my price was, and I had told them I would come down for free.

“I feel like for me and my fan base, you are never too big to attend events like this or come to towns that most people don’t go to. I’m happy to be here.”

No date as of yet as of when David Frank will be donning the wrestling boots, but his opponent will indeed be Scott. One thing is for certain, he’ll definitely have a fan in Cody Rhodes:
