Details On Next Week’s Two-Hour NXT Broadcast

It appears that the first NXT of 2019 is listed for 2 hours on the WWE Network.

The show is still scheduled for its usual start time of 8 PM Eastern but will now be ending at 10 PM Eastern. The synopsis for the show only hypes the Matt Riddle and Kassius Ohno main event. However, WWE has also announced that NXT’s Year-End Award Nominees will be announced:

“At the end of each year, the NXT Universe rises to the call and casts their votes to decide the top movers, shakers, and influencers in sports-entertainment’s hottest brand as part of NXT’s annual Year-End Awards. The 2018 Year-End Awards come into focus this Wednesday on WWE NXT as nominees will be revealed! Don’t miss out when a special two-hour edition of NXT streams at 8/7 C on Wednesday, Jan. 2, only on the award-winning WWE Network.”

It will be interesting to see if moving forward the NXT brand now becomes a two-hour weekly show instead of a single hour. The brand has certainly expanded and the argument can be made that 2 hours is now necessary in order to get over more talent, but nothing is official as of yet.
