Charlotte Flair Addresses Ronda Rousey's 'Effortless' Transition To WWE

SmackDown Superstar Charlotte Flair was interviewed by ComicBook.com ahead of tonight’s Survivor Series clash with RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

Flair had high praise for her Survivor Series opponent and her seemingly seamless transition from the octagon to the squared circle, “Well, they’re just thinking about the moves and not the meaning behind them. Watching her, she looks like she’s been doing this for years. And that’s very hard to do. It looks effortless. It’s one thing to be an athlete, but it’s another to, just because you’re an athlete doesn’t mean you’re going to be a good WWE Superstar.”

Flair gave credit to Rousey’s teachers and trainers, “Who’s ever talking to her or teaching her is doing such a phenomenal job, because the whole goal is to make it look like you’re not thinking. There’s not a second that you think she’s thinking.”

Flair was originally scheduled to be a part of the 5 on 5 RAW vs SmackDown traditional Survivor Series elimination match; however, found herself as Becky Lynch‘s hand chosen replacement to face Rousey at tonight’s pay-per-view. Lynch was originally scheduled to face Rousey in a champion vs champion match; however, was ruled out of tonight’s eagerly anticipated event, after being hit with a devastating right hook by RAW Superstar Nia Jax. The controversial punch left Lynch with a ‘broken face’ and severe concussion. The ailing Lynch has high hopes for Flair ahead of Survivor Series and encouraged her former best friend with, “Go beat Ronda the way I was gonna beat Ronda. You make her tap out the way I was gonna tap her out.”
