FIRST MATCH: Jeff Cobb & Michael Elgin vs. Yuya Uemura & Yota Tsuji
This match is fine. Cobb and Elgin are very strong. That’s really it.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.0)
SECOND MATCH: Suzuki-gun (Zack Sabre Jr. & Taichi) vs. Tomoaki Honma & Ren Narita
Warm up match for Sabre & Taichi. Again, nothing essential here.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.0)
THIRD MATCH: Suzuki-gun (Minoru Suzuki, Takashi Iizuka & El Desperado) vs. Suzuki-gun (Lance Archer, Davey Boy Smith Jr., & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)
This match was a lot of fun. Suzuki-gun pulls no punches against itself. Really fun stuff.
Need To Watch Rating: (4.0)
FOURTH MATCH: World Tag League Tournament Match: FinJuice (David Finlay & Juice Robinson) vs. Ayato Yoshida & Shota Umino
A solid tag match. Nothing wildly inventive, but nothing offensive. Yoshida & Umino feel thrown together.
Need To Watch Rating: (2.5)
FIFTH MATCH: World Tag League Tournament Match: TenCozy (Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima) vs. Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi
Another slow, solid tag match. New Japan dads doing what New Japan dads do. Fun, hard-hitting, inessential.
Need To Watch Rating: (3.0)
SIXTH MATCH: World Tag League Tournament Match: The Besties (Chuckie T & Beretta) vs. The Elite (Hangman Page & Yujiro Takahashi)
Easily the most competitive match of the night. Besties are an entertaining mix of humor and madness.
Need To Watch Rating: (7.5)
SEVENTH MATCH: World Tag League Tournament Match: Togi Makabe & Toa Henare vs. BC OGs (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa)
Decent match, but definitely feels like deja vu from last year. Makabe and Henare are big, fast and dumb as a tag team. Watchable but inessential.
Need To Watch Rating: (5.0)
MAIN EVENT: CHAOS (SHO, YOH, Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano & Kazuchika Okada) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, Shingo Takagi, EVIL, SANADA & Tetsuya Naito)
Fun house show main event. Lots of great exchanges but nothing to write home about.
Need To Watch Rating: (3.9)
