Ten years ago today Brock Lesnar‘s mixed martial arts journey peaked at UFC 91 when he defeated Randy Couture to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship. At the time Brock held a 2-1 professional record with just two of those fights coming in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, although he wound up proving that he was the real deal on that fateful night against a legend in Couture. Lesnar would go on to defeat both Frank Mir and Shane Carwin, writing his name into the history books in the process as one of the greatest crossover sports stars of all time.

Now, in the present day, Brock will be aiming to do the very same thing as he prepares to challenge Daniel Cormier for the same title that he lost to DC’s AKA teammate Cain Velasquez back at UFC 121.
