As a result of Daniel Bryan challenging AJ Styles for the WWE Championship, SmackDown general manager Paige removed him as co-captain of the SmackDown team at Survivor Series.
He was replaced by Jeff Hardy, who defeated Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas in a singles match earlier tonight. SmackDown team captain, The Miz, and Paige decided that he was worth replacing Bryan. Miz also wanted to get rid of Rey Mysterio of the team, but Paige instead made a match between the two with Rey’s spot on the line. Rey would defeat The Miz yet again, securing his spot on the SmackDown Survivor Series team.
