WWE Mixed Match Challenge Recap (10/23/18): Team Pawz Struggles, Awe-Ska Remains Undefeated

This week’s Mixed Matched Challenge offers another entertaining edition featuring immensely popular acts on both brands.

B’N’B (Finn Balor & Bayley) vs. Team Pawz (Bobby Roode & Natalya)

Team Pawz of Natalya and Roode have struggled mightily since pairing up, but are looking to remain positive in the tournament. Their opponents featured Natalya’s tag partner for WWE Evolution, Bayley, which the two promised friendly competition between each other. Balor and Roode would trade jacket and robe respectively to start the match, but Roode struggled to fit it. Bayley and Natalya tried to keep it friendly but it got competitive really with each trying to one-up each other. Roode bit off a little more than he can chew, as a failed Coup de Grace attempt let to Team Pawz undoing to B’N’B.

Awe-Ska (The Miz & Asuka) vs. Day One Glow (Jimmy Uso & Naomi)

The SmackDown Live portion of the tournament features another set of good friends competing against one, another, Naomi and Asuka. The duo wasted no time in letting their companionship known, infuriating Miz as he’s attempting to keep Awe-Ska’s undefeated streak intact. Jimmy Uso would get the better of Miz on multiple occasions, leading to Miz running to the outside. As Naomi went for a dive, Miz used Asuka as a human shield to take the hit, allowing Miz to take advantage of a distracted Jimmy Uso with the Skull-Crushing Finale for the win.

Team Awe-Ska remains undefeated as they lead on top of the SmackDown block 3-0.
