Chris Jericho isn’t afraid to speak his mind, and he’s letting New Japan Pro-Wrestling know how he feels about their reported commentary shift. Don Callis hasn’t been seen in the company since the G1 began, and was already working a limited schedule due to his commitments with IMPACT Wrestling, but it was reported last week in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Don Callis was no longer being asked to do shows by the company.
Callis is close friends with Jericho and was instrumental in getting get WWE mainstay to come to NJPW, so it makes sense that the star would stick up for his buddy. After the NJPW Twitter account tagged him in a post about the company adding English commentary to old matches, Jericho replied that it was “a big mistake and just plain stupid” not to use Callis for it or any other commentary.

Not using @CyrusOverHuge over huge for ANY AND ALL commentary is a big mistake and just plain stupid. @njpw1972 https://t.co/uJBzsCnVJK

Recent reports have spoke to talent being unhappy with recent changes by the company, so this may shed more light on that situation.
