NJPW President Refutes Claims That Talent Are Unhappy, Says Report Is Erroneous

It’s not just “Bad Boy” Tama Tonga that is unhappy about the recent report by Dave Meltzer about talent being unhappy in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Company President Harold Meij took to their official website to address the comments. While there’s not an official English translation of the statement available, we can sum up what he had to say.

The NJPW President says that he was left with a “disgusting feeling” after reading the report, and that the new GM is not Michael Craven, as Meltzer reported. He also backed what Tama Tonga said on Twitter, and said that his foreign star issued those statements without any involvement from the company itself. Finally, Meij said that they are working to make sure that the “dark days” of NJPW never happen again.

We’ll have more on this situation as it continues to develop.
