Buddy Murphy had a big night in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia. Murphy defeated Cruiserweight champion, Cedric Alexander, to capture the title in front of his friends and family. The win capped off an incredible six-month-plus run since reinventing himself as a pure cruiserweight competitor. Murphy cut weight and added some high-flying moves to his arsenal and had built himself into one of the most exciting and consistently good talents on 205 Live.
