This shouldn’t come as much as a surprise, since who wouldn’t want a living icon and movie star on your television show, but it turns out that WWE is trying to get Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to appear at SmackDown’s 1000th episode. The news comes from this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required).
While an in-person appearance would be ideal for the event, it looks like WWE might have to settle for a recorded spot. The Rock is currently filming Hobbs & Show, a spin-off of Fast and Furious. Nothing is set in stone, though, and both parties would want the appearance to be a surprise if it happens, so maybe it can happen if Dwayne Johnson is able to find the time in his very busy schedule.
