Last week we learned via an MRI that independent wrestling star and former WWN Champion Joey Janela had torn both his PCL and MCL in his knee. Now the professional wrestler has met with a surgeon and has a more concrete timetable for his return to the ring. He announced on Twitter that he will be out of action for at least a year. “Even worse than I thought,” wrote Janela. “Really heartbroken.”
Janela is set to have surgery next week, and his surgeon said that the damage is “really bad.” However, Janela isn’t letting this get him down entirely. “The voyage has never been easy for me,” wrote Janela. He then quoted iconic rock band AC/DC and said that “It’s a long way to the top, if you wanna rock ‘n’ roll.”
WrestleZone wishes Janela a speedy recovery.
