Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair (SmackDown women’s championship)

WWE sure is notorious for going against the grain of their fan’s neckbeards, but with Becky Lynch they’re using a rusty razor and lemme tell ya, it’s leaving plenty of nicks that would make even New Jack grimace. That blade isn’t just hurting fans though, this stubbornness is having an effect on both parties. Charlotte is looking like the entitled prize of Vince (Smackdown’s Roman Reigns if you weeell) and Becky’s act will lose steam if they continue to shove her down the wrong road. Lass Kicker retains via nefarious methods.

Winner & Still Champ: Becky Lynch

John Cena & Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens & Elias

Who is this “John Cena” character exactly? WWE sure doesn’t want you thinking about its former face as they have given him Evolution-esque levels of promotion. I’m more excited to see how a shaggier, slimmer Cena looks than anything else in this match (well, that and the Lio-Lashley dynamic). This will be booked American midwest house show style with the babyfaces getting a clean W.

Winners: Cena & Bobby

Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz

Toughest pick of the night for me. Daniel Bryan should win this, but will he? I love this rivalry, but I’m also wanting much more for our bearded friend – like main event more. Miz has been an excellent foil. There would be nothing wrong with giving him the gimmick of having a WWE Title shot in his back pocket, but you could really circle back around to these two if D-Bry gets a clean pin and Miz is left stewing in jealousy. You know what? I talked myself into it.I’m gonna go with that. Yes. Yes I am.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

The New Day (c) vs. The Bar (SmackDown Tag Team Championship)

Clean wins for Cesaro & Sheamus on Smackdown foreshadows a loss in tag action and it will happen here as Kofi continues to tack more days on his 950+ days as a tag champ. I know that Smackdown and Raw are both in need for teams, but it might very well be “Closing Time” for The Bar. They’ve done amazing work, but I’m itching for a return to singles competition for both Sheamus & the Swiss Superman.

Winners & Still Champs: The New Day

Asuka & Naomi vs. The IIconics

It’s back home for Billy Kaye & Peyton which could be good or bad for the Aussie alliance. In the past, Vince has made a point for talent to lose in their hometowns (and countries I guess?) I think Asuka & Naomi do just that because they aren’t the only Aussies on the card and the only ones without a title shot.

Winners: Asuka & Naomi

Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Buddy Murphy (Cruiserweight Championship)

Cedric Alexander has had quite the run with the Cruiserweight Championship. It’s a darn shame that many people (myself included) hasn’t seen any of it. That division has turned into something special, but it has been in the back of Vince’s mind for way too long to see a return to the main roster. This, however, is an opportunity for the belt to get a little back scratch by having it put on Melbourne’s own bloke, Buddy Murphy.

Winner & New Cruiserweight Champ: Buddy Murphy
