WWE Live 9/22 Results From Billings, MT (w/ In-Person Notes)

WWE Live spent part of its weekend in Billings, MT and the results are as follows. (Credit goes to Jim Cottingham for the source and in-person notes):

Fan notes: The arena was about 3/4 to 7/8 full – but you’d have thought it was “jammed to the rafters” as hopping as it was!

The Revival defeats The B-Team

Fan notes: Let me just say – The B-Team is a couple of really funny guys! I wish WWE would let Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas let loose on RAW and PPV’s the way they are allowed to at house shows. We crazy Montanaians were very Pro B Team!

Mojo Rawley defeats Tyler Breeze

Fan notes: The crowd was not really into this one very much.

Jinder Mahal & AOP defeat Heath Slater, Rhyno & Apollo Crews

Fan notes: Lots of “He’s Got Kids”, “ECW”, and “Rhyno” chants in this match.

Titus O’Neil defeats Mike Kanellis

Fan notes: The crowd was very into Titus – lots of “Worldwide” chants and barking!

Finn Balor defeats Baron Corbin via DQ

Fan notes: Finn picks up the “win” by DQ when Kevin Owens comes out and interferes. Acting GM restarts the match and makes it a No DQ 2-on-1 handicapped match – and the beatdown begins. Cue Bobby Lashley‘s music – he storms the ring and challenges the Acting GM to make it a tag match. He asks, “will it be a yes or a cowardly no?” – and Billings made their feelings known with a “YES!! YES!!! YES!!!” chant. So it becomes official with a Jim Carrey style, “alrighty then” – the tag match is under way. Crowd comes unglued for Bobby Lashley and Finn Balor. Lots of “Bobby”, “This is Awesome”, “Lets go Balor” and “Lets go Balor/Lets go Corbin” chants – yes, Baron Corbin had the Corbin Section in Billings.

Intermission

Chad Gable & Bobby Roode defeat The Ascension.

Fan notes: Bobby Roode didn’t really seem like he wanted to be there. Chad Gable had all kinds of enthusiasm – and The Ascension interacted with the crowd quite a bit, too. But Roode was just kind of there and just kind of like, “whatever.” But the crowd went nuts when Gable picked up the win.

Natalya, Ember Moon, Dana Brooke & Bayley defeat The Riott Squad, Mickie James & Alicia Fox

Fan notes: Several “This is Awesome” chants – chants for Bayle, Nattie, Ember, and Dana – and we blew the roof off when Natalia made Alicia Fox tap out with The Sharpshooter!

Roman Reigns defeats Braun Strowman via DQ when Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre interfered.

Fan notes: Drew and Dolph start the beat-down on Roman, and “Sierra Hotel India Echo Lima Delta THE SHIELD” hits on the speakers and The Shield has reunited in Billings! Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins make the save. And they made us work for it before they put Dolph Ziggler through a table. Dean and Rollins didn’t think we were loud enough – so – they worked us up into even MORE of a frenzy before they actually obliged with the Shield powerbomb. Lots of “This is Awesome”, “Lets Go Roman/Roman Sucks”, “Lets Go Roman/Get These Hands”, “Lets Go Roman/Lets go Strowman” – chants. It was crazy – lots of fun to be part of such a raucous crowd!
