Dean Ambrose seemed to be one superstar who always had Kevin Owens’ number. The two would feud from late 2015 to early 2016 for the Intercontinental Championship, with Ambrose capturing the title on his first attempt. They would have a series of matches with each other, with Ambrose mostly getting the better of him.
The feud peaked in a Last Man Standing match at Royal Rumble 2016 where both competitors put it all on the line. While Ambrose was successful in retaining the title, he would be put in an impromptu Fatal-5-way match weeks later and be forced to put the title on the line. Owens recaptured the title without even pinning him, thus ending their feud.
