The months following WrestleMania 32 was an extremely hot time in WWE. Feuds and matches were on fire and an example of this is the Fatal-4-Way at Extreme Rules for the Intercontinental Championship. The Miz had the odds stacked against him in a Fatal-4-way match. The match started off fast-paced from the get-go and seemingly never slowed down. The chemistry and psychology between the four was off the charts and fans were on their feet for almost the entire time.
The Miz managed to retain thanks to Sami Zayn placing too much focus on Kevin Owens.
