Today, NXT is hardly even considered a developmental branch of WWE. It’s considered as its own individual brand that has some of the hottest wrestling in the world. Before Triple H made changes to the entire format of NXT, however, it was a game show competition with little consequence.
Kaitlyn was part of the third season of NXT that would also feature future superstars such as AJ Lee and Naomi. She was mentored by none other than Vickie Guerrero, who she had a heated feud with. She would go on to win the third season of NXT after defeating Naomi, thus being termed the “Breakout Diva”.
Interestingly enough, she would even go on to have a second run in NXT to feud with Maxine.
