#2.) WrestleMania debut
At WrestleMania 32, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks were set to collide in a Triple Threat match for Charlotte’s Divas Championship. It was the early stages of the rise of the women on the main roster and many anticipated that the trio would deliver the best women’s match in WrestleMania history.
The stakes were increased big time when Lita announced on the WrestleMania pre-show that the match would be for the newly created WWE Women’s Championship. In what many consider the most anticipated match on the card, the three women put on the match of the night, bar none. It was truly a statement to the fans, to WWE higher-ups and the entire locker room that the women weren’t just there to be equal to the men, but they were there to steal the show and main event.
Charlotte was victorious, but the magnitude of the match set the bar and kickstarted a huge rise in the women’s division in WWE.
