Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks had an intense feud at NXT where Becky chased The Boss for the NXT Women’s Championship. They would steal the show at NXT Takeover: Rival with both competitors raising the stakes to a whole new level. In fact, the match was so highly anticipated that WWE legend Mick Foley himself drove 10 hours to Orlando to watch it live.
It cemented the fact that both superstars were destined to be major players going forward, not just for the women’s division but the company as a whole. Even in defeat, Becky looked incredible and the fans at Full Sail University gave her a thunderous ovation after the match, even singing her theme song in respect. It was a truly touching moment that showed why NXT was something so special.
