Finn Balor’s history with Becky Lynch goes much further back to when they were signed to WWE, specifically over a decade. When Finn Balor opened a wrestling school in 2002, Becky Lynch lied about her age to give it a try. She instantly fell in love with wrestling and was trained by Balor, then known as Fergal Devitt.
She’s credited Balor before for her career success, stating that she wouldn’t have reached the levels she did without him. Interestingly enough, Balor isn’t the only Irish wrestler who’s had influence on Becky. Sheamus was actually the one who convinced her to try out for WWE. Naturally, this was motivation for Becky Lynch as Sheamus was the first Irish superstar in WWE to reach huge levels of success, winning multiple world championships.
