It was 2015 and the NXT Women’s Division was getting better and better, with it being very clear that the current crop of women would be making huge changes in the future. More emphasis started being put on characters and actual wrestling, proving that the women can go and weren’t just meant to be Divas.
One of the first major signs was at NXT Takeover: Rival, when Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Charlotte went at it for the NXT Women’s Championship. They stole the show with an outstanding performance, after which they were dubbed as “The Four Horsewomen of WWE”. It was clear from then on that these four women would be leading the way for major changes in WWE’s women’s division for years to come.
In the match itself, Sasha Banks pinned Charlotte to capture her NXT Women’s Championship.
