#3.) Dean Ambrose vs AJ Styles – TLC 2016
2016 was an incredible year for both Ambrose and AJ Styles as the two were the lead stars of SmackDown Live after the draft, feuding for the WWE Championship. This resulted in a series of outstanding matches that mostly saw Styles get the better of Ambrose. Their feud would culminate at TLC in December where the two had to climb a ladder to retrieve the WWE Championship.
The match was an easy match of the year contender and proved what lengths both competitors pushed each other to. It was ultimately Styles who was victorious after a little assistance from James Ellsworth.
