The deeply personal rivalry saw Ric Flair go to new limits with Savage, claiming that he had been in a relationship with Miss Elizabeth prior to Savage’s marriage with her. Flair showed just how nasty he could get and it all culminated in a massive WrestleMania match for the WWE Championship.
Savage would ultimately prevail in the culmination of an incredible story that saw him capture his final WWE Championship. The match truly cemented his legacy and he would wrestle for a while longer before transitioning into a color commentator.
