#5.) Bret Hart – Saturday Night’s Main Event – 1987

In 1987, Savage was a well-established top-star of the company while Bret Hart was the young up-and-coming star who didn’t fit the mold of a top superstar in terms of look. But the dynamic between the two was outstanding. They had what many consider to be the greatest match in the history of Saturday Night’s Main Event and it proved that Bret Hart was ready for a singles run at any point of time.

It would take him a few more years for that to happen, but it was a precursor to it that not only showed Hart’s outstanding talent but Savage’s incredible ability to sell as well. The psychology of the match was off the charts.
