Among all of The Great One’s iconic catchphrases, one of the most popular ones is where he lays the”SmackDown” on someone. The popularity of the catchphrase even led to his own show being created, a show that has stayed till this date. Interestingly enough, the catchphrase reached a more mainstream level than most people realize.
In 2007, the Merriam-Webster dictionary added “SmackDown” to its list of words, stating that it was introduced in 2007. Now that’s a little fact you probably never expected!
