Is it any surprise that the best singles match of Alexa Bliss’ career happens to be with The Boss Sasha Banks? It’s hard to find anyone that Sasha can’t have a great match with, and this was no different.
For the two years prior to this, Sasha Banks lost her NXT Women’s Championship and RAW Women’s Championship at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. For the third year in a row, Banks was involved in a SummerSlam title match, this time as the challenger.
For The Boss, however, 2017 would mark the end of the Brooklyn curse as she would defeat Alexa Bliss for the title, becoming a four-time champion. The reign, unfortunately, would only last eight days as Alexa Bliss would win the title back in a rematch over a week later.
