The match was less about the in-ring quality and more about the moments and the storytelling. If you were to tell someone in 2017 that Nia Jax would not only be in a singles title match at WrestleMania, but she would be a babyface cheered by the crowd, then they probably wouldn’t believe you.
But that’s exactly what happened. Neither is known to be the best in-ring performers, but with the power of great storytelling, Nia Jax organically turned face. With the crowd invested, the two would have a memorable match at WrestleMania 33 and Nia Jax would end Bliss’ dominant run as RAW Women’s Champion. It’s a great example of the payoff to a storyline being just right.
