#1.) Retiring Shawn Michaels – WrestleMania 26
WrestleMania 26 saw The Undertaker have his third of four WrestleMania main events. While his first two main events saw him successfully capture the world championship, the stakes were higher in this one. It was Career vs Streak.
After failing to end Undertaker’s streak at WrestleMania 25 in one of the greatest bouts of all time, Michaels was obsessed with facing The Phenom at WrestleMania and went out of his way to get what he wanted. He went so far as to putting his career on the line to face Undertaker, who finally relented.
In an outstanding main event, The Showstopper stole the show one final time before losing to The Undertaker and concluding one of the greatest careers in the history of pro wrestling.
Despite the emotional farewell, it felt right that The Undertaker was the one who put Shawn Michaels’ career to rest. The two paid their respects to each other afterwards and Shawn Michaels never wrestled again.
