The famous finish of the WrestleMania 3 match saw the iconic bodyslam along with Hogan hitting the leg drop to end Andre’s “15-year undefeated streak”. However, on the HBO documentary about Andre The Giant, Hogan revealed that André was actually meant to kick out of the leg drop, adding to more drama.
While Hogan was set to win regardless, Andre didn’t kick out of the leg drop, which left Hogan puzzled. Even though he was one of wrestling’s two biggest stars at that point, Andre had still suffered from severe physical limitations, with the match being built around his these limitations. One can only wonder how the match could have been with Andre in his physical prime.
