Lesnar being an instant box office draw sold a million PPV buys for the event. In the main event, he knocked out MMA legend Randy Couture to become UFC Heavyweight Champion.
It was a true crowning achievement for Lesnar who proved that he was a legitimate freak athlete to be taken seriously. His amateur wrestling background helped him tremendously in his rapid rise to the top in the UFC.
