#2.) Formation of The New Hart Foundation

Six years after their split, The Hart Foundation reformed with more members by their side. The New Hart Foundation, as it was called, consisted of Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Davey Boy Smith and Brian Pillman. The faction was known for the fact that they were heels in the United States while being babyfaces everywhere else in the world.

It was a dynamic that had never been seen at this point, making their rivalries and feuds all the more intense. Their feud with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in 1997 remains one of the most underrated and best feuds in WWE history. Perhaps the peak of the faction was in 1997 at In Your House: Canadian Stampede, where they performed in Hart’s hometown of Calgary.

Being heavily cheered, they took on Steve Austin, Goldust, Ken Shamrock and The Legion Of Doom with Owen Hart on their side as well. They were victorious, with the entire Hart Family coming out to celebrate afterwards.

The faction would disband later in 1997 after the Montreal Screwjob.
