#4.) 10-Team Elimination Tag Team Match – Survivor Series 1987
We’ve seen several great Survivor Series elimination matches through the years. But going back to the very first Survivor Series in 1987, one match that has the “underrated” tag to it is the 10-team elimination match. With the ring loaded with 20 superstars, it was talent at its finest.
It was a display of some of the world’s best tag teams at the time and The Hart Foundation, still up and coming stars, were given a platform to shine. In fact, the best part of this match was that despite so many superstars present, there was no cluster oversaturation – just brilliant old school tag team wrestling psychology.
It wasn’t just the Hart Foundation, but virtually every team that shined. The pacing was outstanding and Jim Neidhart looked strong int he 37-minute bout, eliminating Tito Santana of The Strike Force. They were the third last team to be eliminated in the match but had an outstanding showing.
