#1.) Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar – SmackDown 2003
Perhaps the greatest bout of Kurt Angle’s career came in a bout on SmackDown in 2003. Fresh off a heel turn, Brock Lesnar was in pursuit of the WWE Championship that he lost to Kurt Angle and the feud culminated in an outstanding 60-minute Iron Man Match.
Brock Lesnar would defeat Angle 5-4 to conclude their Championship rivalry for good. They did go head-to-head, leading their respective teams at Survivor Series, where Angle’s team was victorious.
Kurt Angle’s body of work is immense and may be something that’s appreciated more when he rides off into the sunset. He’s a deserving Hall Of Famer in both WWE and TNA, and there’s no doubt that he’s one of the greatest to ever lace a pair of boots.
