#2.) Longest reigning WCW World Champion
When Hulk Hogan jumped ship to WCW, his debut match was a dream match at Bash Of The Beach, where he finally faced Ric Flair on PPV. In his debut match, he won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and would go on to hold the title for 469 days, the longest in its entire lineage.
It would only be the first of six reigns that Hogan would have at WCW. It was a bold move for WCW to put the title on Hogan as soon as he arrived. It worked well for the ratings and his eventual heel turn would only take WCW to new heights in the years that would follow.
