Perhaps the most remembered and acclaimed moment of Hulk Hogan’s entire career, the image of Hogan lifting Andre The Giant has stood the test of time. Prior to WrestleMania 3, Andre had been known as the gentle giant, but Bobby “The Brain” Heenan fueled his ego and brought out his dark side against Hogan, the WW(E)F Champion.
The two would have a dream encounter at WrestleMania 3. While the match wasn’t a technical bout known for its wonderful in-ring action, it was known for its moments and no moment stood out like Hogan’s bodyslam.
Lifting the 520-pound giant, Hogan would hit the leg drop and end Andre’s 15-year undefeated streak. To date, it remains one of pro wrestling’s most iconic moments.
