Triple H and The Rock were both rookies around the same time and rose to superstardom at the same time. While it was clear that The Rock was destined to be the face of the WWE, their story started when they were both mid-carders and concluded as main eventers.
Every time the two would step in the ring, they would blow the roof off the building. Perhaps the most memorable encounter between the two was at Backlash 2000, where a returning ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin helped The Rock to capture the WWE Championship from HHH.
There will likely never be a crowd reaction that matches the level of that moment. The only word to describe it all is “iconic”.
