#2.) Shawn Michaels
Perhaps the most personal rivalry of HHH’s career was against Shawn Michaels. Michaels and HHH had a long history together, being part of DX and backstage being two of the Kliq members. They’d been through it all together and in 2002, when Michaels was all set to return to in-ring competition after a career-threatening injury, Triple H had turned on him.
This resulted in a deeply personal feud that saw an epic encounter at SummerSlam 2002, where HBK showed that he hadn’t lost a beat. They would feud till the end of the year, with Shawn Michaels even capturing the World Heavyweight Championship from him. Though HHH did end up winning it back, the two had a storied rivalry that will go down in the history books.
