#1.) Return from injury – 2002

There’s little doubt that the biggest pop of Triple H’s career came on his return from injury in January of 2002 at Madison Square Garden. With his return being announced well in advance, WWE did a great job of portraying Triple H in a positive light, naturally turning him babyface in the process.

The moment his music hit, the entire MSG crowd stood up on their feet and screamed in excitement. It had been eight months since they had last seen The Game and he went out in a hero’s fashion, completing the match despite a torn quad.

Right off the bat, Triple H announced his intention to enter the Royal Rumble. Kurt Angle tried to come out and steal his thunder, but The Cerebral Assasin got the better of him, standing tall. He would go on to win the Royal Rumble later that month and headline WrestleMania X8, defeating Chris Jericho for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
