#1 Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle – 60-minute Iron Man Match, SmackDown 2003
Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar had a very interesting rivalry from WrestleMania XIX that poured onto the Summer of that year. Lesnar first defeated Angle at WrestleMania XIX to capture the WWE Championship again and when Kurt Angle returned a few months later, they had a friendly rivalry.
This rivalry would see Angle capture back the title and soon after, Lesnar would turn heel and their feud would culminate on the September 18th episode of SmackDown in a 60-minute Iron Man match, where Lesnar beat Angle 5-4 to recapture the WWE Championship.
The Iron Man match is considered by many to be the greatest match in SmackDown history and it’s not surprising to see why. The match was an all-out war between the two most elite competitors in the WWE and while they always put on good matches, they blew the roof off the building with this final encounter.
