#3.) Surprise return at Royal Rumble 2008
During his year-long WWE title reign in 2007, Cena had torn his pectoral muscle in a match against Mr Kennedy that had forced WWE to strip him of the title and as a result, he was estimated to be out for seven months to a year. Nobody was expecting him to return for WrestleMania 24, so at the Royal Rumble in 2008 when #30 had arrived, Madison Square Garden was on their feet in shock as Cena made his return in less than four months!
While “Super Cena” was a term coined to describe his booking, his rapid recovery from injury showed that he was Super Cena in and out of the ring. Not only did he make a triumphant return, but he would win the Royal Rumble match by last eliminating Triple H, once again continuing his pursuit for the WWE Championship.
