#5.) John Cena vs Shawn Michaels: RAW 2007
This is the only match on this list that wasn’t on Pay-Per-View. Many fans were disappointed that Batista vs The Undertaker didn’t headline WrestleMania 23 and that John Cena vs Shawn Michaels would. However, the two legends quickly put to rest any doubts and had an instant classic on the grandest stage of them all.
The fact that Vince McMahon had his head shaved just two matches earlier definitely hyped up the crowd and the two delivered beyond expectations, despite Batista vs Undertaker being a show-stealer as well.
On April 23rd, 2007 on the RAW before Backlash, Cena and Michaels had a non-title rematch in front of a hot UK crowd. While many believed it wouldn’t live up to their WrestleMania 23 match, the two once again hit the ball out of the park, having an hour-long classic that saw The Heartbreak Kid pick up a clean victory.
