#2.) vs. Mankind – King of the Ring 1998
While this match may not have been as technically proficient as either of the three matches stated before, it ranks this high up on the list purely due to the spectacle of the match and the impact of it. Till date, there’s still no Hell in a Cell match more famous than this one and for good reason.
It was the night where Mick Foley as Mankind truly showed that he was an extraordinary human being, taking punishment like never before. He went from nearly the top of the cell through an announce table and was later chokeslammed from the top of the cell all the way down to the ring – where it crashed inwards and Foley lost many of his teeth. The Undertaker later revealed that he legitimately thought Foley was dead.
Thankfully, he survived it and that wouldn’t even be the last Hell in a Cell match that he ever had. The iconic commentary and the spectacle of it all still makes it one of the most memorable moments in WWE history.
