#3.) Jinder Mahal

We’ve seen rapid rises to the top throughout WWE history, but none were as bizarre as the case of Jinder Mahal. Mahal was released by WWE in 2014 and after a few years away, was signed again to be a part of the RAW brand. To nobody’s surprise, he was purely an enhancement talent. He would gain the favor of the office after making a radical physical transformation.

However, after WrestleMania 33 in 2017, he was quietly moved to SmackDown Live. Over there, he went from being an enhancement talent to a main eventer in one week. That’s right. Rather than slowly pushing him to the top, WWE chose to make him a World title contender in the span of a week.

It had to do with WWE’s sudden attempt to push into the Indian market. They learned later that year that Jinder Mahal wasn’t the solution to that.
