#2.) The Rock & Mankind
In late 1998, WWE saw one of the better double turns in history at Survivor Series when The Rock turned heel to join the Corporation, while Mankind suffered a defeat even though he technically never tapped out in the first place. It would lead to a classic feud between the two where Mick Foley ended up winning his first WWF title, but it was later in 1999 when the two became allies.
While there was skepticism at first, this was after The Rock had turned face. It led to the incredible pairing of The Rock and Foley, who dubbed themselves as the Rock N’ Sock connection. They still remain one of WWE’s most beloved duos.
