Perhaps one of the earliest statements that WCW made against WWF was when they signed their reigning Women’s Champion Alundra Blayze. She appeared on WCW as Madusa, her original name and interrupted a moment of commentary to show the WWF Women’s title on WCW TV and then proceed to trash it.

It was a controversial moment that blacklisted her in WWE for many years afterward. It was also indirectly responsible for the Montreal Screwjob happening as well. It was shocking to see that on television and Madusa later admitted that she was heavily pressured into doing so.

Thankfully, she made amends with WWE and during her Hall of Fame ceremony, she took the title out of the trash.
