SummerSlam 1992 saw WWE go to UK in the prestigious Wembley Stadium. In front of 80,355 people (reportedly an even larger attendance than WrestleMania 3), The British Bulldog would challenge Bret Hart for the Intercontinental Championship. Being British, he was naturally the most popular star on the roster and the main event was an all-time classic, with Bulldog using Bret Hart’s signature pin-down to beat him and become Intercontinental Champion.
It was all respect between the two warriors after the match.
