#4.) The Rock vs Brock Lesnar – 2002
The Rock vs Brock was a huge special attraction main event at SummerSlam 2002. Mind you, this was hardly over four months into Brock Lesnar’s WWE debut and he was tearing everybody apart. He won the King of the Ring tournament early on, earning a WWE title shot against then-champion The Rock.
Madison Square Garden was surprisingly hostile towards The Great One due to the clear Hollywood transition that was happening. Lesnar, on the other hand, was welcomed with open arms and the crowd went wild when the young rookie ended up dethroning one of the all-time greats to become WWE Champion.
