#5.) CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy – 2009
SummerSlam 2009’s main event saw Jeff Hardy defend the World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk. It was a grudge rivalry in every way, shape and form as there seemed to be no limits to what Punk would say to Hardy. All sorts of personal issues were brought up during the feud and it really enhanced Punk’s status as a top heel in WWE.
It was an all-out war TLC match and Hardy took Punk to the very limit, even climbing an extremely tall ladder and dropping on Punk through the announce table. Unfortunately for Hardy, that wasn’t enough as Punk ended up winning the match and the title. Post-match, however, The Undertaker would cut Punk’s celebrations short.
