In the long run, this moment didn’t mean too much, but since it caught many fans off guard, we add it to the list of incredible moments. Christian was actually the reigning Intercontinental Champion at the time, so how did he appear for one night at Slammiversary?
It was an agreement between WWE and Impact Wrestling. WWE wanted Ric Flair to appear for the 2012 Hall of Fame ceremony, so in exchange, they allowed Impact to get Christian Cage for one night to announce the “Best moment in TNA history”. The shock factor was certainly seen.
